Working Holidays In Wonderful SurroundingsPosted on: 19 January 2009 by Gareth Hargreaves
National Trust working holidays allow you to learn new skills and relax in beautiful surroundings.
The National Trust runs around 400 Working Holidays every year throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Whether you fancy carrying out a survey of moorland plants or herding goats, drystone walling or organic gardening there will be something to suit you and all in stunning countryside or coastal locations.
Working Holidays range from two to seven days and from £60 a week including food and hostel-type accommodation.
No previous experience is necessary, as holiday makers are led by trained volunteer leaders and staff. You just need to be team-spirited, enjoy being outdoors in beautiful locations and not mind getting your hands dirty!
For some it’s the appeal of learning a new skill or indulging a passion, for others it’s just a great way to have fun. There is plenty to tempt all age groups, with a wide range of activities that make these low-cost holidays the perfect family break.
For more information on Working Holidays, call the booking office on 0844 800 3099 or visit the website at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/volunteering.
