Wisley welcomes the nation's most popular soprano Lesley Garrett for a gala evening of inspirational music with songs from her latest album, When I Fall in Love, as well as a finale of Last Night of the Proms favourites.
Lesley has sung in many of the world's major opera houses and recorded 12 albums. Renowned for her unique talents, she is a familiar face on TV and in the West End, and currently delights listeners on Classic FM with her popular weekly Saturday night Opera show.
Lesley is joined by special guest, the American tenor, Paul Austin Kelly. Philip Ellis conducts the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
The Stars Of The '80s
Friday 13th June
For one night only '80s stars Belinda Carlisle, Nick Heyward, Haircut 100 front man, Toyah and Altered Images with the dynamic Clare Grogan, have been brought together for a party night of non-stop hits, in a show designed by the creators of the sell-out Here and Now Tour.
Hits include Heaven is a Place On Earth, I Get Weak, It's A Mystery, Blue Hat for a Blue Day, Happy Birthday, I Could Be Happy, and many more.
The Counterfeit Stones / Buddy Holly & The Cricketers
Saturday 14th June
Buddy Holly and The Cricketers open this rock 'n' rollercoaster of a double bill, and guarantee to have everyone singing along to the music and dancing on their picnic rugs to such timeless hits as That'll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, It Doesn't Matter Any More, Raining In My Heart, Heartbeat and Oh Boy.
Last year Wisley went wild as the Counterfeit Stones strutted their funky stuff, so they had to have them back again. Led by dynamic front man Nick Dagger, each member of the Counterfeit Stones is a fantastic look-alike, not to mention first class musician. Mick, Keith, Bryan, Bill and Charlie rock out the classics in this No.1 tribute to the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world.
