The Plot Thickens

Our mature student's novel takes shape, and the class ask if they can stay on at school.

February 25th

My book is well underway now. I've even discovered a sub-plot hidden in the mists of my mind! Well at least I think I have. And it's all down to Roger's clever tutelage. I've been studying the handouts we've been given every week with more care and discovered that on a second or third reading, they are extremely pertinent to what I'm doing.

All of us are in the same boat and were really regretting the forthcoming end of term and end to the course and impetus that has us all scribbling furiously on our work. The Novel Approach Course was supposed to end on March 17th, but last week we handed in a petition asking the Governors of Mary Ward to extend our studies - and from what teacher Roger says, it appears we might just get lucky!

Very exciting. We have an agent coming to talk to us about marketing our books on March 10th.

Andrea Kon is writing a weekly blog about her experience of going back to school. Check next week for her next installment.
