Just What's In A Nut?

There have been numerous articles extolling the virtues of the humble nut, but what do we really know about the nutritional values that they offer?

More than 400 members of 50connect were kind enough to enter a survey  to give Wonderful Pistachios an insight into your thoughts about nuts and, in particular, the pistachio.

Pistachios have long been sought after.  Legend has it that the Queen of Sheba decreed pistachios an exclusively royal food, going so far as to forbid commoners from growing the nut for personal use. 

It seems this popularity still holds true today, with one in five survey respondents stating that the pistachio is their favourite nut.

A 30g serving of pistachios, with 49 kernels, has 160 calories and offers more than 30 different vitamins, minerals and beneficial phytonutrients.
