With summer now behind us, the festive season is fast approaching here are five champagne recommendations to add to your wine rack.

Pol Roger Pure Brut Nature NV
With a crisp and bone-dry champagne with a gorgeous lemony-minerality - the Pol Roger cellars are the deepest and coolest in Épernay, so fermentation takes longer adding to the soft approachable style.
Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle NV
The Grand Siècle has subtle hints of honey, hazelnuts, grilled almonds and fresh pastry on the nose. On the palate this wine is powerful, well rounded and has incredible length. Available at Waitrose Cellar only.
Champagne Fleury Blanc de Noirs Brut NV
It its fully organic in the vineyard; Fleury was also Champagne’s first biodynamic producer. This mature wine – a blend of several vintages – is made from 100% Pinot Noir, with reserve, oak-matured wines used to add richness to the final blend.
Bollinger La Grande Année Brut
With a fresh yet full-flavoured and opulent champagne and a fine long toasty finish, Bollinger ferments the still wine in small oak barrels to increase the complexity and ageing potential.
Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut
The Taittinger has a complex, spicy nose with a beautifully creamy and elegant mousse. The palate is elegant, filled with apple, toasted hazelnut and cherry undertones that pave the way to a generous finale. A prestige cuvée Blanc de Blancs.
