Our pick of festival must-haves

This is hardly the summer of love and you can’t rely on the weather, but if you are still a hardy festival goer, we have tips for packing for all possibilities. Our tip is to take plenty of layers and items that will match, that way you will have an outfit for every occasion!

This blouse hints at the 70s revival and will look great with jeans, shorts or maxi skirts. It’s a casual option and will see you straight through the summer. Peasant blouse £55 from Yogoego

Slim fitting jeans are perfect to be tucked into boots and will keep you warm on chilly evenings. Pack a pair of tights in case the weather takes a turn for the worse! Jeans, £29 from Isme

Should the weather turn sunny (fingers crossed) a pair of cut off jeans are perfect to keep you cool and comfortable. Cut off jeans will look great with wellies, which keep the look causal. Utility shorts, £16.99 from  Internacionale

Quilted jackets

These quilted jackets are great for cool summer evenings and channel the country gent trend. Barbour have more expensive versions of this style, but we like Debenhams’ take on it. This coat could also be a great rug or handy cushion! Quilted jacket, £48 from Debenhams by H! Henri Holland

If you’re going to dress for the rain, you might as well look chic! This poncho has a great military feel and will certainly keep you dry. The poncho style means you’ll always have a free hand for a nice glass of cider! Waterproof poncho, £23 from Penneys

Wellington boots

It wouldn’t be a festival without wellingtons and we love these biker style boots from F&F at Tesco. Make sure you take long socks with you to stop the lining rubbing your calves and pack a pair of flip flops or sandals for hotter days. Wellies, £12 from F&F at Tesco
