See what inspired Australia film director Baz Luhrmann by following a new journey dubbed “The Australia Way”.

Baz Luhrmann’s epic film Australia premieres in London on 10th December and will open in cinemas on Boxing Day. This eagerly anticipated drama tells the story of an English aristocrat, Lady Sarah Ashley, played by Nicole Kidman, and a rough-hewn cattle drover, played by Hugh Jackman, who drive 1,500 head of cattle across Northern Australia.

To celebrate this epic romance a breathtaking new journey, dubbed ‘The Australia Way’, has opened, linking the vibrant and tropical harbour city of Darwin with the exotic pearling town of Broome.

Winding through red escarpments, lush waterholes and remote cattle stations, this route will enable visitors to experience firsthand the dramatic scenery and characters that so inspired the Australian film director.

This video takes you on a journey through the untouched wilderness - so reach for your popcorn and then your passport and plan your very own Nicole and Hugh inspired Australian adventure.
