HDRA, the organic organisation is holding a Composting Day at Ryton Organic Gardens on Monday 6th May - a popular event for practising recyclers and novice composters from all over the UK.
HDRA's experts, including Pauline Pears, Editor of the recently published HDRA Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening, will be giving talks and practical demonstrations on how to turn kitchen and garden 'waste' into a wonderful soil conditioner. It's easy to see why composting is being taken up so widely these days - it's good for the environment, because it means less volume of rubbish going to landfill; - it's brilliant for the gardens, because compost is a valuable soil improver; and it also saves money, because it replaces shop bought products. As well as all this, it's great fun!
Ryton Organic Gardens is five miles south east of Coventry signposted off the A45. The event starts at 10.30am and admission costs £3 for adults, children FREE.
You'll find the gardens five miles South East of Coventry signposted off the A45, on the road to Wolston village. Members of the public can find out more by telephoning Ryton Organic Gardens on 024 76 303517 or 024 76 308211.
