Whats really behind organics
Organic gardening is more than just gardening without the use of synthetic chemicals. Organic gardening is about respect for life. All life. Life is what this beautiful garden planet is all about. From the deepest ocean to the highest mountain. Nations older than those on this planet today worshiped that life force. Respected it. They learned to live within its cycles and within its boundaries.
Once you see the importance of life and the delicate balance that it all hangs on, you begin to grasp the big picture and see the cycle that is permanently repeated on this garden called Earth. You begin to realize that everything is alive or has been alive; or even still, contributes to the general life of everything around us.
The main principle behind organic gardening is not gardening without chemicals. On this planet that would be impossible! What it means is giving back to the earth that which we take. All dead matter is returned to the earth in order that the living matter that remains, makes use of it and returns it in the form of usable matter for plants to feed on and for microorganisms and macro organisms to feed on. Then, as if by magic the process starts all over again.
Some feel that organic gardening is a "cause" or an "issue", but the truth of it is that organic gardening is simply the most responsible way to garden. Synthetic Chemicals simply are not effective in the long term. They simply do not work. The life force of nature will always have her way. It is so much simpler to observe nature and follow her lead. It is not necessary to reinvent the wheel with synthetic chemicals, in fact, it is detrimental to nature and to ourselves.
