This Month's Pets Who Need Homes
Samson
Collie cross
Age: 3-5
Gender: Male
Don't be fooled by the fact that Samson only has three legs! He is full of energy and loves nothing more than playing with his ball. Samson pulls on his lead but with constant training this could be rectified. He would be best suited to a home with a family.
Location: Glasgow
Contact: Scottish SPCA (local) 0141 882 1688
Huey
Lovebird
Gender: Male
Huey is a lonely stray Lovebird. He would love to have a mate to spend his days with.
Location: Inverness
Contact: Scottish SPCA (local) 01463 230206
King
Staffie
Age: 3-5
Gender: Male
King is fully vaccinated and microchipped and ready for a new, loving home. He has come on so much in our care and we are really proud of him. He has been with the Society for many months without any interest but deserves a second chance at life as soon as possible.

Big Beautiful Billy
Lurcher / Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross
Age: 2-3
Gender: Male
A white and black, male neutered, 2-3 year old Lurcher / Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. He is an extremely loving, large, strong boy with good basic manners. He can be a real escape artist and is very athletic so potential new owners would need a home visit to ensure the security of their garden. He could live with a mature female dog and would be fine with teenage children. He cannot be left alone at this stage, so will need people prepared to work through his separation issues.
Location: Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Old Windsor
Contact: If you are interested in rehoming Billy, please come down for an interview or call their rehoming line on 01784 494443, quoting reference number 07/20626.
Troika
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Age: 13-14
Gender: Female
Troika was left tied up at our front gates; her owner phoned to say she was unable to care for her anymore. Troika is a lovely old lady desperate for some company and she is very loving and affectionate. She can be a little demanding for attention, but who can blame her having been left in this situation at her age.She is an active lady for her age and still enjoys her walks and a little play but is best kept on lead when out and about as her eyesight is not great anymore. She's a really great girl who hates being in kennels and really needs a very special, loving home to spend her twilight years. Ideally she needs someone at home with her for company, but could be left for up to four hours but no longer. She also needs a garden to potter in, but children and other dogs would be too much for her at this stage in her life.
Location: Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Old Windsor
Contact: If you are interested in rehoming Troika, please come down for an interview or call their rehoming line on 01784 494443, quoting reference number 07/21048.
Miss Babs
Black & white long hair cat
Age: 5-7
Gender: Female
Miss Babs lived a quiet life with her elderly owner, so it was quite a shock for this gentle cat when she was uprooted from her familiar surroundings and brought in to Battersea. So many people; so many cats; and what were those strange woofing noises. Miss Babs resorted to frequent hissy fits to cover up her inner turmoil and everyone was a little bit scared of her, even though she was all talk and no action. A private shed ( a.k.a a penthouse suite) became vacant and in she went. Transformation. Miss Babs is an affectionate lap cat who loves to be groomed. Her ideal home would be with quiet and mature adults who enjoy brushing and grooming their cats. She would be quite happy to amuse herself while her people are out at work as long as she has a little garden where she can indulge in her favourite hobby: bird watching. She would not like to live with any other cats or a dog.
Location: Battersea Dogs & Cats Home
Contact: If you think you have what it takes to make Miss Babs happy, please come in to Battersea to register or leave a message for Ros on 020 7627 9234 or email r.davies@dogshome.org, quoting 07/91636.
Please note that there are many cats in the Home and in their satellite sites of all ages, shapes, sizes and personalities and we are only able to feature a small selection on the web.
