This Month's Pets Who Need Homes

TomThomas
Tabby cat
Age: 12
Gender: Male

Thomas is a friendly and gentle cat who is always purring away. He has special health requirements but is brilliant with his daily medicine and never makes a fuss. He can be timid at first, but once he gets to know you he will be very loving and playful.

Location: Stoke & Newcastle
Contact: If you would like to offer Thomas a new home, please contact Cats Protection’s Stoke and Newcastle Branch on 01782 515 167.

DatchetDatchet
Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross
Age: 3
Gender: Male

Datchet is a gentle but bubbly character who came into us as a stray. He is looking for experienced owners who may have had Staffies or similar bull breeds before, although this is not essential. He needs to live in an adult household, but one with teenagers would be considered. He’s good with other dogs and could possibly live with a friendly female, ideally a non-bull breed. Once Datchet is settled into his new home, he could be left alone for a few hours as he settles well after a run around and amuses himself with a chewy bone.

Location: Old Windsor
you feel you can offer this lovely lad a new home, please contact the rehoming team at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Old Windsor on 01784 494443, apply online or email bow.rehomers@dogshome.org, quoting reference 07/21361.

BabeBabe
Black & white cat
Age: 4
Gender: Female

Babe is a good-natured cat who is waiting for a new home of her own. She is a small cat, but what she lacks in size she makes up for in character. She is very friendly and affectionate and will make a lovely addition to any home.

Location: St Albans
Contact: If you would like to offer Babe a new home, please contact Cats Protections St Albans & District Branch on 0845 371 2064.

MistyMisty
Blue & Cream Persian cat
Age: 8
Gender: Female

Friendly, gentle and chatty girl but being a typical Persian, has a low tolerance level and will tell you when you’ve gone too far. She loves attention and can be quite chatty when she receives it but she is not overly demanding. She’s not keen on being groomed but does require it daily and would benefit from going to the groomers twice a year to help keep her coat under control. She can be a fussy eater but enjoys dry food. Misty can live in any environment but needs to be the only pet in the household. She needs a quiet home but one with teenagers would be considered, and can be left for half a working day. She definitely needs a garden to explore but may need help to learn how to use a cat flap.

Location: Brands Hatch
Contact: If you think you can offer Misty the home she needs, please call Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Brands Hatch on 01474 875103 or apply online at www.dogshome.org, quoting reference 08/50039.

DennisDennis
Black & white cat
Age: 14
Gender: Male

Dennis is diabetic, he will need an owner who will be able to administer insulin injections at specific times every day and will also need regular veterinary check-ups. However, Dennis copes very well with his condition and remains a happy and affectionate cat.

Location: Bristol
Contact: If you would like to offer Dennis a new home, please contact Cats Protection’s Bristol & District Branch on 0117 966 5428.

TeddyTeddy
Large black mongrel
Age: 5 years 8 months
Gender: Male

Devoted Teddy is an active 5 year old German Shepherd Cross Flat Coated Retreiver, who was sadly returned to The Blue Cross as his owners were leaving him on his own for too long.

He is a loyal, amiable dog that loves to be the centre of attention, and would benefit from a new home where he can receive an abundance of affection and cuddles!

Being crossed with a Geerman Shepherd, Teddy will need plenty of exercise, both mentally and physically, to keep his sprightly body and mind active.

Location: Burford
Contact: If you would like more information about this animal please contact the Blue Cross Burford centre on 01993 822483 or see www.bluecross.org.uk.

Whiskey and SpottyWhiskey & Spotty
Black & white cats
6
Gender: Male

Whiskey and Spotty are a delightful duo. They are brothers who are looking for a home together. They are both timid which means they are often over-looked but in fact they are full of character and are really gentle cats.

Location: Exeter
Contact: If you would like to give Whiskey and Spotty the second chance they deserve, please contact Cats Protection’s Exeter Axhayes Adoption Centre on 01395 232 377.

BabeBabe
Black & white greyhound
6 years 8 months
Gender: Female

Beautiful Babe is friendly with everyone she meets. She walks nicely on the lead and enjoys her walks. Most of all Babe loves human attention and company.

Greyhounds do not need masses of exercise, a 20-30 minute lead walk morning and afternoon and the chance to run off lead in a secure garden will keep her happy. Greyhounds do like their comfort so a nice bed in a warm area of the house for her to rest in is important as well.

Babe is not overly tolerant of other dogs so ideally needs to be exercised in a fairly low dog populated area. She needs experienced, relaxed owners who can give her the home she deserves. She can be left 3 hours, can live with children aged 14 and over, needs to be the only pet and needs secure 6 foot fencing.

Location: Southampton
Contact: If you would like more information about this animal please contact the Blue Cross Southampton centre on 023 8069 2894 or see www.bluecross.org.uk.
