If you want to know about other animals available for rehoming you can contact the charities at the end of this page.
This Month's Pets Who Need Homes
Poppet
Black & white cat
Age: 8
Gender: Female
Poppet is an eight-year-old feline who is looking for a new home. Poppet can be timid so needs an understanding owner who will give her time to come out of her shell. She will benefit from a quiet home with no young children and somewhere cosy to sleep.
Location: Frome
Contact: If you can offer Poppet the home she has been waiting for, please contact Cats Protection’s Frome & District Branch on 07733 390 345.
Mylo
Chihuahua
Age: 7-10
Gender: Male
Mylo is an appealingly loveable yet eccentric little man with an endearing character who can be incredibly affectionate and responsive once he gets to know you.
Mylo can be defensive with certain dogs and shows unease at meeting new people, so he needs to live in a quiet semi-rural to rural environment that does not have a high people or dog population. A quiet, steady, adult-only household with no children would be ideal, however older teens - 16 years plus - would be considered. Ideally Mylo's new owners will live in a house, but we will consider a flat based on experience and facilities. He would also benefit from having parks and open areas nearby which could provide a distraction-free environment for his training.
Mylo is looking for owners with experience of confident, mature characters - ideally who have owned chihuahas or terriers before. Mylo is a spritely and bubbly boy who will make a great companion in the right home.
Location: Battersea
If you think you can offer Mylo the quiet and consistent home he needs, contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on 0207 627 7884, or email behaviourrehoming@dogshome.org and quote reference 07/03090.
Leo (pictured) & Belle
Tabby cat
Age: 4 & 6
Gender: Male & Female
This friendly pair of felines are brother and sister and the best of friends. Four-year-old Leo and six-year-old Belle are inseparable and always stay close to one another. Therefore they will need to be rehomed together and will enjoy a garden where they can play and explore.
Location: Thurrock
Contact: If you would like to offer this delightful duo a new home, please contact Cats Protection’s Thurrock & District Branch on 07950 119 672.
Charlie Girl
Mongrel
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Charlie loves people and will make an affectionate companion once she is in the right home. She already knows some commands and in her previous home she travelled well in a car, was house trained and good off the lead in the park.
Patient, understanding and experienced owners are what this little lady needs: those who have dealt with rescue dogs with similar anxiety-related problems would be an advantage. At this stage Charlie cannot be left alone and will need owners around the majority of the day. Charlie will need a quiet home without other pets or children; she will also need owners who can provide short, regular walks.
Location: Old Windsor
Contact: If you feel you can offer this sweet and anxious girl the home she needs please contact the rehoming team at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home Old Windsor on 01784 494443, apply online or email us on bow.rehomers@dogshome.org, quoting reference 08/20261.
Daisy
Black & white cat
Age: 7
Gender: Female
Daisy is a sweet-natured feline who needs a new home. She is approximately seven-years-old and full of character.
She is loving, affectionate and enjoys human company. Daisy is not used to children so an adult only home will be best for her.
Location: Chatteris & St Ives
Contact: If you would like to offer Daisy the home she has been waiting for, please call Cats Protection’s Chatteris & St Ives Branch on 01480 465 226.
Rosie
Lurcher
Age: 4
Gender: Female
The staff at Dogs Trust Evesham hope they can find a loving home for a dappy Lurcher called Rosie.
The 4 year old has been at the Wickhamford rehoming centre since July 2007. Although she is the human equivalent of 28 years old, Rosie is very much a puppy at heart and has a great sense of humour.
One of her favourite tricks is to splash about in a paddling pool and get her canine carer soaked.
Rosie mixes well with other dogs but she can get overexcited so any new canine friends will need to be playful too. She is suitable for an energetic family with children over the age of 12 and cannot be rehomed with cats.
Location: Evesham
Contact: If you are interested in rehoming Rosie or any of the other 150 dogs cared for at Dogs Trust Evesham at any one time, please call the centre on 01386 830613.
Sam
Tabby & white cat
Age: 11
Gender: Male
Sam is a mature feline who is desperate for a loving home of his own. The 11-year-old was abandoned by his owners when they moved abroad, leaving him alone to fend for himself.
He managed to survive on his own fending for himself and eating what he could. After some time a neighbour found Sam but he was severely malnourished, painfully thin and covered in fleas.
After seeking medical attention from the local Vet he was taken in by Cats Protection’s Worcester & District Branch who gave him lots of TLC. Thankfully he is now fully recovered and ready to go to a new home.
Sam is a happy and gentle cat who will be best suited to a quiet home with a garden he can relax in.
Location: Worcester
Contact: If you would like to give Sam the second chance he deserves, please contact Cats Protection’s Worcester & District Branch on 01905 820 423.
