Looking For Romance?
Increase your chances of romance with this life-changing action plan.
If you are looking for romance or a new relationship there are several things you can do to pave the way.
Follow the tips below, and you may be surprised how quickly things start to look up.
Value Yourself
Take a few moments to remind yourself of your positive qualities. Start a notebook and write down all the things you love about yourself. If you find it hard to praise yourself ask your children and friends what they think your best qualities are. And top it off, go out and buy yourself a treat.
Plan - Then Do!
Forgetting about your desire to find a new partner, make a list of other short and longer term goals. These might include making new friends, spicing up your social life, dealing with problem issues, gaining a new skill, or organising a holiday. Think about what you need to do to make these things happen and put dates against each of them.
Carpe Diem - Seize The Day
Modern living has its drawbacks - but it also has its advantages. There are so many things to do and places to go. Make the most of being single - there are opportunities open to you that couples can only dream of. The more you engage with life, the more attractive and interesting you are likely to appear.
Look Good, Sound Positive
Think about the effect you have on other people. Maybe it’s time to try a new hairstyle, change your glasses, buy some new clothes. Make a point of sounding positive and cheerful whenever possible. Avoid negative body language, such as twisting away from people, covering your face, avoiding eye contact or folding your arms over your chest. Enjoy seeing the difference it makes to the way people react to you.
Change Your Routines
How many new potential partners do you meet over the course of a week? If the answer is not many, it’s time to alter your pattern of behaviour. Why not try a new activity, either with friends or by joining a group. Visit some new venues. Accept invitations, even if you are not sure whether or not you’ll enjoy yourself. It's hard to go out on your own if you are not used to it, but force yourself! After a few good nights you'll wonder why you ever worried about it in the first place.
Develop A Broad-Ranging Approach
People looking for a new relationship often struggle because their strategy is too limited. If you really want to find romance, don’t just sign up with a dating agency, or answer lonely hearts ads. Make sure your diary is filled with outings. Re-contact old friends, you'll be surprised how much you've missed their company! Try www.friendsreunited.co.uk to trace old school friends, it really is an excellent website.
Go out and have fun. If you are with someone you find attractive, don’t be bashful - you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
