Make New Friends

The charity Toc H is launching 'friendship' groups across the UK to offer support and give people the opportunity to make new friends.  Find out how you can get involved.

Some 46% of the UK's population over the age of 45 are single, and as we know, it is not always easy to meet new people, make friends or start relationships.  The national charity Toc H are trying to readdress this situation by launching 'friendship' groups across the UK to offer support and give people the opportunity to make new friends.  CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other) groups have started - or are due to start in parts of London, Tunbridge Wells, Weymouth, Bristol, Newton Abbot and Aylesbury.

The charity, Toc H is keen to roll groups out nationally, but while it had a huge response from people wanting to join, it needs more people willing to help co-ordinate and set up groups in their areas.  If you think this is something you would like to get involved in, please get in touch. Toc H will offer you full training and support.

The first CAMEO residential social event is taking place at Toc H's Alison House in Cromford, Derbyshire from Tuesday 23rd April to Thursday 25th April.

This will be a tour of Derbyshire stately homes, including Haddon Hall and Chatsworth in Bakewell and Bolsover Castle near Chesterfield and will be an ideal opportunity to get out and about and make new friends.

Toc H is a community-based charity which strives to promote the importance of bringing all sectors of society together, regardless of culture, religion or race. For more information about Toc H, an established charity for more than 90 years, please visit the website: www.toch.org.uk
