Famous photos highlight the Autumn Antiques for Everyone Fair.

Iconic photographs of The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Slade will be a major attraction at the Antiques for Everyone Fair at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th November 2006.

The special loan exhibition, titled 'Iconic Rock Photography from the 1960's and 1970's', will feature the work of Gered Mankowitz, the internationally famous photographer. The display will include many of Mankowitz's most memorable images from the sixties and seventies. The display is presented by Simon Sieff of Sieff Fine Antiques & Contemporary Design in London, and will highlight the growing trend for using photography as an artistic feature in interior design. The display will be the first time that a collection of Mankowitz's images of Slade will have been seen in public. Ten images will be on display, an occasion which coincides with the re-release of their classic albums and a CD box set.

"Photography is crossing the line from being something for collectors to a wider audience, and what we are trying to do is combine the latest digital printing techniques with iconic photographs," says Sieff. "We want to show people that you can mix 20th-century works with older pieces and look good." Simon Sieff will also provide a range of designer furniture demonstrating how art and design can be combined with antiques in a modern setting.
