'Rebecca' - a modern take on the classic fifties bolero.
Sleeves are integrated into the back and fronts making for easier finishing with no sleeves to set in.

To Make Up
Sew up the side and shoulder seams.
Border
Cast on 9 sts.
Row 1: Slip 1, [p1, k1] 4 times.
Repeat Row 1, 115 times then proceed as follows.
Row 1: Slip 1, [p1, k1] 3 times, turn.
Row 2: [K1, p1] 3 times, k1.
Row 3: Slip 1, [p1, k1] twice, turn.
Row 4: [K1, p1] twice, k1.
Row 5: Slip 1, p1, k1, turn.
Row 6: K1, p1, k1.
Repeat Rows 5, 6, 3, 4, 1 and 2 once respectively.
Row 13: Slip 1, p1 [p1, k1] 4 times.
Repeat Row 13, 225 (233:241:249:257) times.
Next Row: Slip 1, p1, k1, cast off 2 sts, k1, turn.
Next Row: K1, p1, cast on 2 sts, k1, p1, k1.
Repeat from Rows 3 to 13 (inclusive) once.
Repeat Row 13, 115 times.
Cast off in moss st.
Sleeve Borders
Cast on 9 sts.
Row 1: Slip 1, [p1, k1] 4 times.
Repeat Row 1, 79 times or until border fits armhole snugly.
Cast off in moss st.
Attach the border by placing the mitred corners to the corners of the fronts with buttonhole at right front, sewing border all round the outside edge of the bolero to fit snugly and finishing at centre back neck edge (adjust length here at cast-on/cast-off edges if incorrect). Sew the ends of the border together and place this seam to the underarm seam. Sew in position round the sleeve edge. Sew on button on left front to correspond with the buttonhole.
