Eric Clapton: The Autobiography

Eric Clapton: The Autobiography

Even if you aren't a fan of his music, this is one autobiography definitely worth reading.

All I can say is, wow what a read.  This is a brutally honest personal journey which is well written and very witty.

Rejected by his mother at an early age, Eric was raised by his grandparents and therein lay the problem. Music became his solace but the lifestyle of drugs and alcohol almost killed him.

Now at 62 years old Eric Clapton doesn't seem to be running anymore and has been sober for 20 years. The turning point I feel, being the death of his son Calum.

This is the story of a rock legend, a man who had it all and almost lost it, but who still came through. Even if you dont like Clapton's style of music, this is a can't put down autobiography, which will leave you feeling glad that he made it.
