Home Front Heroes Wanted
Is your older relative a home front hero? If so, the makers of a new documentary would like to get in contact.
Testimony Films are researching a documentary series on the men and women who worked on the home front during World War 2. They are looking for anyone who made weapons, unloaded ships, dug the coal, nurse the injured or produce the food that Britain needed to survive – and ultimately win the war.
They would also like to hear from people who worked in the aircraft and munitions industries, on the railways, in the mines, in the emergency services, by the sea and docks on the land. The company is particularly interested in memories of the pride, camaraderie, danger and sacrifice made by young men and women on the Home Front during WW2.
If you, or someone you know, are in their eighties, nineties or hundreds and have a moving personal story to tell please contact Liza Cosslett, Testimony Films, 12 Great George Street, Bristol BS1 5RH. Tel: 0117 925 8589, email: lizi.cosslett@testimonyfilms.com
