Published by Mark O'Haire on 26 Jan 2010
This February, Britain’s Chemmy Alcott will be making a bid to be the countries most successful ever Alpine skier in the Winter Olympics.
The 27-year-old has a great chance of becoming the first Brit to win a Winter Olympic medal in the sport.
Chemmy suffered a bad ankle injury last season that severely disrupted her progress, but the current World Cup has been far more successful and she will be taking some great form into the games.
But apart from raw speed on the slopes, what are the things that make a difference between the champions and the also rans? What gear will Chemmy need to maximise her chances in Vancouver 2010?
In this video Chemmy literally reveals what makes her go faster on the slopes, starting off with her mouth-guard, boots and skis and ending up with breast pads and skin tight thermals. She even talks about the fastest haircut for skiing – the mullet!
