Technological highlights at the International Motor Show.

Various new vehicles presented at the IAA 2007 are operated with Driveline and Chassis Technology by ZF. The automotive supplier develops and produces components, units, and systems for almost all well-known international automobile manufacturers.

The Audi A4, technically related to the Audi A5, is equipped with numerous ZF products. The quick shifting automatic 6-speed transmission, as well as the axle drive, chassis components, CDC dampers, suspension mounts, and twin-tube dampers with steel springs are supplied by ZF. The speed-dependent Servotronic steering is supplied by ZF Steering Systems; at Audi, it can be obtained as optional equipment under the name of ADS (Audi Dynamic Steering), an active steering system with a superimposed axle drive.

Expressively sporty - on the way with the new BMW 1 Series Coupé. This is why here, ZF is supplying the manual transmission as well as the quick shifting automatic 6-speed transmission. The shift system and the converter complete the ZF drive. At the chassis end, you will find components, engine mounts, twin-tube dampers, spring struts, as well as steering columns and steering pumps.

Manufacturers and dealers are expecting that the new Ford Mondeo will be a true competitor for the premium brands. With ZF driveline technology on board, namely the shift system, clutch, converter, and dual-mass flywheel, the vehicle is best equipped to become a true rival! The perfect driving behavior is further supported by chassis components and the optional Nivomat.

As a volume production car, Jaguar XF, the successor to the S-Type is celebrating its world premiere at the IAA. The luxurious sports sedan is equipped with an automatic 6-speed transmission and chassis components by ZF. Moreover, the steering column and the Servotronic rack & pinion power steering system are supplied by ZF Steering Systems.

Highly impressive - the Maserati Coupé GranTurismo, and not only for the design! The Italian sports car manufacturer is also trusting in inner values: In addition to the powerful 390 hp V8 engine, it is primarily ZF technology that powers up the car! The automatic 6-speed transmission as well as the adaptive CDC damping system ensure that this top sports car excels simultaneously via driving comfort and dynamics; chassis components provide for the necessary track stability. The steering pump is supplied by ZF Steering Systems.

Peugeot will unveil the new 308 for the very first time at the IAA in September. Looks of the new Golf rival are quite familiar: Also under the sheet metal, the French car trusts in well-known driveline and chassis technology by ZF. The sporty shift feeling is empowered by the shift system and the clutch, the "silence" in the driveline is generated by the dual-mass flywheel by ZF.

Still in 2007, Seat will bring the Altea Freetrack concept car onto the market as a volume production car. The sporty off-roader is celebrating its debut at the Barcelona Motor Show in June. Already in October, it will conquer the showcase at the dealers! But before that, the Funclimber can be admired with its Germany at the IAA, equipped with ZF chassis components, shift systems, clutch, dampers, and the Electric Power Steering System.

A world first at the IAA is the long-expected station wagon version of the quick city roadrunner Skoda Fabia Combi. Despite only minor exterior dimension changes, the new station wagon makes smart use of its pre-determined basic space: Definitely a major advantage when compared to its predecessor. Thanks to the chassis components and the clutch by ZF, the new Fabia is ready for city tours but also well equipped for long-distance travelling.

Comfortable and safe technology by ZF turns the new Volvo V70 into something truly special. Chassis components are in charge of driving dynamics and comfort and the speed-dependent Servotronic by ZF Steering Systems turns the station wagon into a handy car. Equipped with the optional Nivomat kit, the huge Swede warrants comfort and safety at any given load condition.

In the case of the Volkswagen Tiguan, the all-rounder for off-road terrain and city traffic, Volkswagen is also banking on driveline and chassis technology by ZF. Agile handling on highways and off-road terrain - that's taken care of by the shift system, the clutch, and the dual-mass flywheel; but also chassis components and the Electric Power Steering System come into play.
