Ten Grand Green Cars

Posted on: 14 November 2008 by Gareth Hargreaves

Take a look at our list of incredible green car deals for less than ten grand.

UK new car sales figures slumped by 23 per cent last month - the biggest fall for 17 years - and car dealers are responding by offering some great deals.

You may have thought a green car was out of your price range, but there are some excellent credit crunch deals around and we’ve found some great value cars for much less than £10,000.

We have found savings of more than £2,000 on cars such as the green Fiat Panda and Citroën C2.

These cars won’t just help reduce global warming; they’ll cut fuel bills too. Averaging between 51 and 65mpg, green car drivers can save even more after April 2009, when tax becomes cheaper for the lowest CO2 models.

Many people are put off by green cars due to the costly Toyota Prius at £17,000, however, there are some great eco cars for much less.
