The Dog Whisperer Bounds Over To Nat Geo WildPosted on: 28 October 2008 by Gareth Hargreaves
What do you do when your problem pooch or wayward hound gets too much for you? You call in the help of Cesar Millan, aka The Dog Whisperer, of course.
He is the ‘paw-fect‘ canine behaviour expert, born with the magic touch which sees everyone from Hollywood celebrities to everyday pet owners, queue to resolve their canine conundrums.
The new series of The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan is coming exclusively to Nat Geo Wild every night at 8pm from Monday, 17th November.
One of the most sought-after specialists working in the field of dog rehabilitation, Cesar Millan is a best-selling author with an uncanny gift for communicating with dogs; from Great Danes to Chihuahuas.
His dog rehab has seen many satisfied customers including celebrities such as Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Patti LaBelle, Vin Diesel, Nicolas Cage, Scarlett Johansson, Hilary Duff and movie director Ridley Scott.
Follow Cesar as he goes into the homes of troubled dog owners up and down the U.S, rehabilitating dogs, training owners and sharing his “exercise, discipline, affection” formula in 37 brand new, hour-long episodes.
With over 20 years of experience with canines, Cesar's unique talent with dogs first developed on his grandfather’s farm in Mexico, now he owns a Dog Psychology Centre in Los Angeles. Here he receives as many as 100 calls a week from owners desperate for help, sometimes the last resort for pets that might otherwise be put down or given away.
He believes every dog deserves a chance and in this brand new series you can watch as he helps young Binkey the Chihuahua get used to his specially devised wheelchair, Gavin the Labrador recover from his post-traumatic stress disorder following time in Iraq, and two monks who are praying for help with a misbehaving German Shepherd.
Born in Culiacan, Mexico, during a hurricane that took the roof off the family’s house, Cesar spent much of his youth at his grandfather’s ranch. Growing up with a pack of dogs that were his closest friends, it was his grandfather who taught him the greatest lesson that he still lives by today: “Never work against Mother Nature.”
The exclusive brand new series of The Dog Whisperer, is on Nat Geo Wild every night from Monday 17th November at 8pm.
