There are currently over 4 billion records available to search. From historical censuses and parish records, to military records and passenger lists, your family's past is waiting to be discovered.

You can start a family tree for free on Ancestry.co.uk, fill in the basic details you know, attach photos and any scanned family records you have, then share it with family members and ask them to tell you what they know. 

Once you’ve filled in a name, date and place for a person (take a guess if you’re not sure) we’ll automatically start searching for matches in our records or other trees, and help you take your family history further. Once we’ve found a match you’ll need to start a FREE 14 day trial, or take out a membership, to view it.
