Be invites Londoners to join the 24 meg revolution.

Be, the UK’s new broadband provider, are making history today as they invite Londoners to pilot their new 24 meg broadband product. In addition to experiencing speeds of up to 24 meg downstream and 1 meg upstream which is the fastest in the UK, pilot members will pay nothing until October 2005. Each member will also be provided with a free ‘Be Box’ wireless router, opening a gateway to new online experiences.

"We are hoping to build a very special community of pilot members," said Dana Pressman, Managing Director of Be. "For anyone interested in new technology and the fastest speeds, this will be a must have product."

Be has built a completely new network based on the latest ADSL2+ technology, allowing it to deliver a very high quality product at an exceedingly competitive price.  They are guaranteeing a monthly broadband service charge of just £20 (payable from 1 October 2005) for all pilot members as their way of thanking pilot members for helping them to ensure that the service and processes are as good as possible at the time of the full launch later this Autumn.

To join the pilot, Londoners will need to have a BT telephone line that can be connected to a telephone exchange where Be has fitted their equipment. To register, go to www.BeThere.co.uk/pilot
