Not many artists possess proven tactics and techniques of selling their art successfully on Ebay, but Gail Miller, a 'self representing artist' from the UK eats, sleeps and breathes eBay these days. She began selling her paintings for 'peanuts' but now with a fan base, 100% positive feedback and Powerseller status she regularly sells her work for hundreds of pounds.
Gail hasn't looked back since she began because selling via the Internet has given her the career in art she'd always wanted. Unbelievably though she never picked up a paintbrush for over 15 years before this. After having her first child in 1987, she found herself acting as a full time carer for the next 14 years or so, as her son was diagnosed with ADHD and Asperger syndrome. Gail got to 40 and felt that life had somehow passed her by. Then one day she picked up a book entitled 'It's Only Too Late If You Don't Start Now' by Barbara Sher. The message in the text was simple; it's never too late to start over. In fact according to the author, Gail was at exactly the right time in her life when dreams for the future and experiences of the past finally come together.
Gail decided to take up her paintbrushes again. Little did she know at the time, that 4 years later she would be working up to 16 hour days, 7 days a week to fulfil orders for her dynamic artwork. Hence her eBay username paint_till_you_faint ! Gail found eBay art category by accident after listing some bric a brac. What a buzz it was when she started to get bids. These days Gail is a professional artist who lists on eBay almost every day. She also does lots of private commissions. She has positive feedback from literally hundreds of happy customers and her paintings are hung in private collections all around the world including countries such as Australia, Italy, France, Greece, USA, Canada, as well as the UK. She has just shipped 5 paintings over to Bahrain for an art exhibition there. One of her best customers is in Florida who has decorated his whole apartment with Gail's paintings.
Gail is so different now from the woman she was a 40. Art has given her a new lease of life and a good income. The inernet opens up so many new opportunities that your dreams are possible too.
