A new software package will make it easier to plan for retirement.

Retirement no longer means sitting back and relaxing. People are travelling more, taking up new hobbies or going back to work part-time and now a new software package, Mamut Home, will help you organise your finances so you can make the most of your retirement.

Mamut Home is an all-in-one electronic planning tool for the home user, to help manage important domestic information such as loans, savings and contacts.  The easy-to-use program allows families and individuals to keep track of all household activities and documents in a central place. Important dates and reminders can be saved in a calendar, which can be viewed and printed out in daily, weekly or monthly format for effective planning.

Users can store all household information in one place, making it easier to retrieve. It will also help avoid duplication as well as ensure that all information is accurate and up to date. User support is provided through the Mamut Information Desk, which offers news and user-tips and the ability to log queries and feedback. 

The program is easy for computer novices to use and is divided into six main sections: 'Family', 'House and Property', 'Car, Boat and Motorbike', 'Travel and Leisure', 'Training' and 'Diet'. Under these headings the user can store a wealth of information such as contact details for doctors surgery, savings plan, registration documents, travel itineraries, photos and recipes.

Each user can have its own section on the database to store personal information such as phone numbers, bank statements and apppointments, with the ability to set permissions and passwords for protected access. There is also the option to change the colours and layout of the screen to suit individual preferences.

Mamut Home is available in three versions: Mamut Home Free (includes 'Family', 'House and Property' and 'Car, Boat and Motorbike' sections), Mamut Home Start (also includes 'Travel and Leisure' section) and Mamut Home Standard (also includes 'Travel and Leisure', 'Training' and 'Diet.' 

Mamut Home is available in three versions: Mamut Home Free, Mamut Home Start and Mamut Home Standard, and can be downloaded from www.mamut.com/uk/home and costs between £29 and £39 including VAT depending on which package you choose.
