Hi Hotel 4*
Location: Nice, France
Price: from £165 per room per night
Lowdown: The Hi hotel in Nice is a luxury hotel located just moments from the Mediterranean Sea and the Promenade des Anglais. The hotel is designed by Matalia Crasset, France's leading young designer, and is a bold statement of contemporary style.
There are nine types of rooms all designed with a different colour scheme. Some have glass showers and toilet cubicles, in yellow and purple respectively, while others have a bed that looks like a table and a bath that looks like a bed.
The name Hi is derived from the red mark, or hi, found on koi carp, and to follow this through the hotel Crasset has put a goldfish in each room to keep guests company. The restaurant is run by five-star chef Alain Llorca who serves his cuisine in petits bocaux, or small rubber-sealed jars.
