Barry Humphries and his team of senior investigators take on a series of trials to tackle modern life's mysteries
Within the last decade so much has changed; the provision of heath care causing the average life expectancy to rise and the daily advances in technology mean for many seniors it’s near impossible to keep up with this new ‘modern world’. The 21st century children are growing up surrounded by integrative technology and social media meaning they are never the last to catch onto the new graze, but what does this mean for the rest of the older population?
Channel 4’s new series, a Granny’s Guide to the Modern World, explores just this with Barry Humphries and his team of senior investigative reporters set out the tackle the mystery that is the modern world. From handling political correctness and race, to the distinctions between grime and Grindr, the team will visit Amsterdam to try Marijuana for the first time and will be taught all about the new super food frenzy.
Whether or not the age barriers between the OAP’s and the grandchildren will be broken, I’m not sure, but there will no doubt be a light hearted comical view to aging; the show may even raise series questions about this technology obsessed generation we are living in.
A Granny’s Guide to the Modern World
