Theatre review: Ghost StoriesPosted on: 22 July 2010 by Mark O'haire
Laurence Green reviews Ghost Stories at the Duke of York theatre.
Ghost Stories by Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman is a mirthless play delivered in the guise of a lecture about the fear of the supernatural which then develops into a thriller with a rather tasteless denouement.
All the stops are pulled out-pitch dark auditorium, flickering lights and ghostly apparitions appearing from nowhere. Little is revealed about the characters, the plot lines are confused and spooky gimmicks replace real thrills. A great disappointment.
