Hair removal

UK men and women spend around £82m per year getting rid of unwanted hair which is unsurprising considering humans have more hair follicles per inch than chimpanzees and gorillas.

Did you know that 80% of British women remove hair and 1/3 of the UK has spent more than £100 on hair removal in the last 12 months? The most popular methods are shaving and depilatory creams. These methods however only give a short term benefit to the user.

But now there is a new alternative currently on trial.  Boots The Chemists (BTC) has been testing laser hair removal in seven locations throughout the UK. If the trial is successful more than 200 practices could be rolled out.

With the use of state of-the-art technology, operated by trained and qualified nurses to offer highly effective treatment for unwanted hair. Each laser session will last between 15 minutes for a small area of the face and 1 1/2 hours for a leg. An average of 3-6 sessions will be needed before the treatment is complete.

Once the treatment is complete the customer can be expected to be hair free for 6 to 12 months and in many cases significantly longer.
