Reasons to Take a Bicycle to Stay Fit in College

Nowadays, bikes have become a prevalent method of transportation for youth, in many colleges across the country, Europe and other parts of the world. It’s a great solution for weight loss and maintaining great shape, plus it’s eco-friendly and cost-effective.
Students find significant help in using bicycles to move from one point to another on campus. Although there is a multitude of reasons for youth owning bikes and bicycles ranging from personal preference to nature-consciousness.
Here are a few reasons why you should have a bicycle
An advantage of exercise
Bicycles are a great way to keep fit without stepping into a gym. Youth are always constrained by time and may not have the luxury of time to spend hours in a gym for weight loss. But some still suffers from obesity, overweight and health issues and bicycles for is a great alternative to stay healthy.
Cycling is the best exercise to burn fat. It helps to work out your whole body, keeps your heart healthy and muscles firm. So, bicycle subsequently saves you time, gym membership costs and you get to enjoy and interact with the environment.
Apart from the fact it saves you money, opting for bicycles over cars protects the environment from harmful carbon emissions from automobiles.
Having a bicycle is a great way to play your part in protecting the environment and keeping your atmosphere clean.
For the average student, there is not a lot of money to throw around, cars are expensive to purchase and maintain it’s much easier to buy or hire a bicycle than a car.
With lower maintenance cost, zero need to worry about money for gas and insurance, it saves you some money for that movie ticket, late-night snack, and books.
Although it is costlier than walking, there are places you can get a cheaply used bicycle. Some colleges actually have used bikes and bicycles on sales.
The irony of owning a car is that it doesn’t guarantee you’d get to class faster. With bicycles time exhausted searching for parking spaces is reduced, or time spent in traffic.
