The latest craze in household toilet fresheners

There seems to be a great deal of toilet talk taking place which is fabulous in that we are challenging the many taboos around bowel habits, and making sure people are more aware of the signs  of bowel cancer and we talk more about conditions such as IBS.

Definitely a place for them in busy family homes, unisex offices and for those who travel lots and a toilet shy or struggle with IBS or conditions such as IBD (inflammatory bowel disease).

On the back of this, there seems to be quite a  few new products on the market for the toilet now that either hide, mask, or  remove all those smells we don’t want to smell or feel embarrassed about.

We’ve had Febreeze, AirWick air fresheners  which all do a great job to cover up the smells but never quite eliminate them  as they linger still in the air.

Now, there’s a whole new class of air fresheners popping up which don’t just float around the air but they work instead in the toilet. You simply spray or add some drops into the toilet before- you-go and they very cleverly stop any smells altogether.

Here’s a round-up of what we have found:

Poo PouriPoo-Pourri – Sainsbury’s, Next, and online at and at

Holding a cult status in the US this product is free of all nasties, parabens, synthetics and  is beautifully packaged and so easy to use. Made from natural (not synthetic) essential oils, Poo-Pourri works by masking any odours left behind.  Available in a collection of six unique fragrances, Poo-Pourri is simple to use and available in two sizes - a 59ml handy portable handbag (and travel friendly) size and a 118ml to grace the shelves of one’s throne at home.

Priced from £7.99 (59ml) with larger sizes available the range includes:  Lavender Vanilla, Original Citrus (Lemon, Bergamot and Lemongrass), Royal Flush (Eucalyptus and Spearmint), Ship Happens (Coconut, Freesia and Citrus), Deja Poo (White Flowers and Citrus) & Tropical Hibiscus, Apricot and Citrus) plus a special Christmas one is due out soon.

For those that like everything matching!

Aesop Post-Poo Drops – - £20.00

For designer bathrooms and for those that like everything to match with your soaps and hand lotion, Aesop has introduced the Post-Poo Drops. Botanical scents deodoriser those nasty bathroom smells.  They work a bit differently: Squeeze three drops into the toilet bowl after flushing, and the deodorizing drops will release citrus peel notes.

Just A Drop – – 15ml £18.00

Works similar to the others and is also in a portable size so great for travelling. Just add one drop before you go eliminates odours before they get into the air and is also made from a highly concentrated plant extract, it's environmentally friendly and biodegradable - safe for all toilets!

There’s a few others out there on the market such as Air Wick VIPoo and another one heading this way called Squatty Potty.  It’s definitely a booming business as Suzy Batiz the founder of Poo-Pourri has just gone on the Forbes  Rich List in the UK with a fortune estimated of over $240 million so it’s big booming business.

Monaghan within the united states of eire is that this type of surprising place with a precise beauty. Ireland itself is a beautiful vicinity however it is usually included with cold so it is hard to spend lifestyles their. The limited resouces, in step with some bob honey who just do stuff, unwilling humans to head there.<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->
