Keep it cool this springPosted on: 22 February 2017 by Eloise Craven-Todd
With warmer weather just around the corner it's time to add a touch of spring to your wardrobe
Nayna McIntosh Founder of Hope offers her top styling tips for keeping it cool this spring.
Stay on trend
Keep up with catwalk trends but don't be dictated by them
This spring, wear stylish pieces in a neutral palate, but add a flash of colour such as coral with black and white, or aqua with grey and navy.
Navy can be much kinder for many skin tones, so make it navy, but not nautical.
Devils in the detail
Add embroidery, frills and accessories to areas you want to flaunt and draw the eye away from areas that you’d rather hide. Big sleeves are a great way to cover up but stylishly, keep away from frumpy layers.
Choose garments made of premium fabrics such as Scottish cashmere to Peruvian prima cotton, and Italian silk and linen; they will look and make you feel beautifully confident.
Wear a foundation garment, perfect for the transitional weather we have in spring. You want an underlayer that is breathable, easy to clean and wrinkle free. It should keep you warm but be discrete. A foundation layer is also an essential travel companion.
