Prawns with chopped garlic and Iberico Ham

José Pizarro prepares classic Spanish tapas - Prawns with chopped garlic and Iberian Ham


This is a very simple tapas dish that is very quick to prepare.

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes


  • 3 x Large Prawns
  • 1 x Lemon
  • Sherry Vinegar
  • Iberico (Iberian) Ham
  • Garlic clove
  • Olive oil
  • Salad leaves to dress
  • Salt & pepper to taste


Peel the prawns, leaving the head and tail

Pour olive oil in the pan and add the prawns.

Add salt and black pepper.

Add the slice garlic clove

Add the sliced lemon

Add sliced ham

The prawns will be ready when they have turned pink on both sides.

Serve on salad leaves with olive oil and sherry vinegar dressing.
