I’ve just gone into retirement and it felt really weird at first. So I made a short list of retirement activities and now my life feels completely different.

I’ve just gone into retirement and it felt really weird at first. You know, there is no need to get out of the bed early, go to work and do all that “you-are-not-retired-yet” things now. After a couple of weeks of getting enough sleep and watching all the TV-shows I missed, I started to get bored. So I made a short list of retirement activities and now my life feels completely different. I always have something to do and there is no time for boredom! Now I want to share it to inspire all the retired men to stay active and happy.

Now you do have the time! So look through the list, add some new book releases and start reading. One book a week will keep you entertained, your brain fit and your time busy.

http://owl-group-staging.s3.amazonaws.com/upload_datas/43266/landscape_large.jpg?1474017257Learn something new. I know you spent a lot of time learning when you were young but it’s never too late to learn, isn’t it? I don’t mean going to college again, of course. The Internet is full of educational courses and many of them are absolutely free. You can learn a new language, some crafting activities or get deeper into the science. I’m now watching the maths course to refresh my knowledge and help my grandchildren with their homework.

http://owl-group-staging.s3.amazonaws.com/upload_datas/43267/landscape_large.jpg?1474017266Do sports. Staying fit is very important when you are in your 60s and by doing sports I don’t mean playing golf even though it’s also a great way to spend your retirement time. Get the gym subscription or just go for a run — these things can easily give you a couple of extra years.

http://owl-group-staging.s3.amazonaws.com/upload_datas/43268/landscape_large.jpg?1474017472Have real fun. I’ve heard that old men are the main casinos’ target audience but I never took it seriously until I got very bored on one weekend. So I started playing slots for fun and it happened to be very entertaining! I mean, that’s not what you can do for hours but it’s a nice way to end the day or do during your morning coffee routine especially if you’ve never been to Vegas to play the real casino games.

http://owl-group-staging.s3.amazonaws.com/upload_datas/43269/landscape_large.jpg?1474017549Travel! Now you don’t need to wait for vacation as every day is the vacation day. Start from the small trips in your area and then take your friends to the journey across the Europe or whatever you like. They give retirement discounts in many places so make use of it to save money for the next trip.

http://owl-group-staging.s3.amazonaws.com/upload_datas/43270/landscape_large.jpg?1474017560Take care of your house. If you were busy working for the last years, your house probably needs a bit of renovation. Check for broken things, throw out all the stuff you don’t need, take care of the garden or paint the fence — there is always something to do.

http://owl-group-staging.s3.amazonaws.com/upload_datas/43271/landscape_large.jpg?1474017569Family time! The best things to do when you are retired is to spend more time with your family and friends. I was working a lot and didn’t pay enough attention to the family but now I spend days with my wife, children, and grandchildren and it’s amazing. I also try to meet my friends more often than I did before and I feel how our relations get closer and warmer.

http://owl-group-staging.s3.amazonaws.com/upload_datas/43272/landscape_large.jpg?1474017666Volunteer. Now when you saved enough money to never work again you can start helping others for free. I regularly go to the nearest church to help with different stuff and it makes my life more meaningful. You can ask for information in a local  volunteer organization or just in the closest church or hospital.

http://owl-group-staging.s3.amazonaws.com/upload_datas/43273/landscape_large.png?1474017677Work. If you still feel like working and earning money, there are many options that you can consider. Check for the part-time jobs in your area and try new working activities like driving, teaching or crafting. Maybe it’s high time to go for a career that you have always been dreaming about? It’s never too late to become a writer, a photographer or anything you want to be.

http://owl-group-staging.s3.amazonaws.com/upload_datas/43274/landscape_large.jpg?1474017690Join a club. Joining a club is a nice way to keep your social life active. Now there are plenty of different clubs where retired people can spend their time doing something cool, get new friends and learn new stuff. I’ve already joined the chess club and think about joining a business club as I’ve always wanted to start my own company and if not now, then when?

So this was my list of retirement activities but there are still many things to do to live the active life and you can make your own list or add several new points to mine. Stay merry and positive, don’t give up, enjoy your time and it can easily become the best part of your life.

Yah, it is really nice to do in retirement something that you ever wanted. For example, to visit some interesting places or to play the game that you wanted during your youth. As for me, I've started to test my luck in the casino and really gives me fun. If someone is interested in this theme too, I want to recommend you a nice service https://gamblechecker.com that can help you with this question.

Practice shows that the active use of logic games gives a good advantage in old age. I'm sorry that people are starting to forget about such simple games as backgammon or chess. It's sad.

Why do you say so? If you look at my close contacts, then most of the people can play chess well. Even if you are many years old and you still do not know how to play chess, then you can use online sources for training. I like to go to chess-bot.com. It has everything you need to start training.

I know one thing that men want to do for sure in retirement. All the men like playing casino games and dont tell me that its not true. I am 40 years now and I have a passion to play poker or slot games every day here . It is my main hobby for the last 3 years and moreover it brings me good profit.
