Another place worth the journey would be Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Here you will find enormous chunks of ice floating around in the lagoon, which was naturally made by melting glaciers. You may even be lucky enough to see wild seals swimming in the waters. The beach next to the lagoon is also worth giving a visit, as it was give the name Diamond Beach for a reason. The beach with the black sand has broken off glaciers resting on its shores, giving off a diamond affect.
After a fun-filled active getaway, you can spend your last day relaxing at the popular Blue Lagoon. This geothermal spa is open all year round, and is always the perfect temperature to bathe in. There’s nothing like floating in nourishing water whilst the snow falls from up above.
